What can I expect?

Starting out

We will begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation to gain a preliminary understanding of your needs and determine whether we might be a good fit. We place great importance on the therapeutic relationship, and this brief call offers a chance for both of us to get a sense of each other’s approach and personality.

The first full session will feel more like an interview. Its primary purpose is to help us learn more about one another beyond the initial call. It’s important that both of us feel confident in the potential for a collaborative and productive working relationship.

Subsequent sessions will focus on deepening our understanding of your concerns and beginning the therapeutic process. Sessions are generally client-led, allowing you to guide the conversation toward the issues that matter most to you.

Sessions will either be in-person or virtually.

In-person Session:

Dr. Jessica Burman PLLC is located in Sage Farm House at 5561 Pennell Road, Media, PA 19063. Sage Farm House is the first building on the right.

You are welcome to park in the circle immediately in front of Sage Farm House or you can park in the lot. When using the lot, please park close to the walkway that leads to Sage Farm House.

Please enter through the Pennell Rd door, not the main door in the circle (this door is locked).

Please take a seat on the first floor and someone will be down to get you when it is time for your appointment. ** You will need to climb one flight of stairs in order to enter the therapy office.

Virtual Sessions:

Virtual sessions can be accessed through a mobile device or computer.

Please note that clients who are being seen virtually by Ms. Jeanette Herrington must be located in PA.

Dr. Burman is part of PSYPACT and can therefore see clients virtually in a number of states. An up to date list of these states can be found at https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap
