Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.~Edward de Bono
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with older teens, young adults, and adults. I work with individuals who present a variety of issues including:
- family/relationship issues
- transitioning to a new stage/phase of life
- low self esteem
- women’s issues
I believe therapy should be very practical, so I help patients get insights into how to improve their current and future relationships. To do this, I strongly believe in building trusting relationships that make clients feel safe and willing to explore how to be who they truly are. While exploring issues, I provide individuals with tools to help them make progress towards these personal goals.
What can I expect?
The first session will seem more like an interview than anything else. The goal of this session is for the two of us to get to know each other. We both need to decide if we are a good fit for each other. I strongly believe in the importance of the relationship established between myself and my clients.
The next few sessions will continue to be more about learning about you and starting to explore issues you bring in. I like to give my clients the lead in what will be discussed during most sessions.
Payment and Insurance
I am currently only accepting Aetna insurance. However, you can call your insurance company about your out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits. Some plans will reimburse you for part of the cost for the session. I will be happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company.
I accept cash, check, or venmo.
I have lived in South Eastern PA for all of my life. I graduated from Widener University in 2009 with my doctorate in psychology. After graduation, I took some time off after graduation to start my family before starting my first professional job at a college counseling center. After working at the college for about 5 years, I decided to move on to seeing people outside of the college setting. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering at my children’s school and remembering what it is like to be an athlete.
