About Dr. Jessica Burman

Dr. Burman has lived in South Eastern PA for all of her life. She graduated from Widener University in 2009 and earned a doctorate in psychology. After graduation, Dr. Burman took some time off after graduation to start her family before starting her first professional career at a college counseling center. After working at the college for about 5 years, she decided to move on to seeing people outside of the college setting and started working in the private practice setting. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and continuing her ever changing path as an athlete.

Dr. Burman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with young adults, and adults.  She works with individuals who present a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, transitioning to a new stage/phase of life, low self esteem, stress, and women’s issues.

She believes therapy should be very practical, so Dr. Burman helps patients get insights into how to improve their current and future relationships. To do this, she strongly believes in building trusting relationships that make clients feel safe and willing to explore how to be who they truly are. While exploring issues, she provides individuals with tools to help them make progress towards these personal goals.

Dr. Burman is part of PSYPACT and can therefore see clients virtually in a number of states. An up-to-date list of these states can be found at https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap
